ABOUT

THE MASTER’S WALK

Welcome to The Master’s Walk website. We have been dedicated to allowing God to show us the failings in our personal walk and bringing us to a closer walk with Jesus. We then want to share what we have found with others. Our trust and hope is that others may see the same short-comings, or recognize their own failings, and also come to a closer walk with Him. As God has revealed His word to prune, and to sustain, and to change us, much of what God has given has been written down. We have then felt compelled to compile them into books: Building the Child Of God, Building The man Of God, Army Of The Lord Of Sabaoth, and the beginnings of The Warfare. Please do not feel in pride that you are past the child stage, or allow the enemy to convince you that you have reached a higher level. In building a wall you must place every brick in its order and place to successfully build the next row on top of It, it is much the same in the spiritual: any “bricks” left out can leave you with a weak and susceptible spiritual wall and walk. Please read and glean the spiritual truths God gives you before moving to the next row of bricks, or book. That is not to say that these exhortations have every thing that you individually need, but to encourage you to let Him have His way as you ask, and seek, and knock.

The Word tells us that Enoch walked with God and God took him (Genesis 5:24). In Genesis 6:9 it tells us Noah walked with God. What can this mean, walking with God?

Mere man never seems to totally find the Master’s walk. Peter reached it on the water for a few seconds, but when the flesh arose, he fell. The flesh, and pride, and unbelief will not allow us to reach this walk. What does God require of you?

Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Humbleness and humility will allow us to grow in faith and Spirit. How can we walk humbly with God? We must be in agreement with Him;

Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

He is righteous, holy, and perfect, and will never stoop to agree with you and your flesh. Know that The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: (Jeremiah 17:9) and will convince and justify you of your fleshly walk. We must have His mind, and learn to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4). We must let the Spirit be our guide;

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Galatians 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

While the path of our spiritual walk may be slightly different for each individual, we must receive the promises and the divine nature through the knowledge of our Savior Jesus Christ;

II Peter 1:2 – 4 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

We will never fully understand the divine power, but through it, and the exceeding great and precious promises, we may have life, and be partakers of the divine nature, and escape the corruption that is in the world through lust. It is then Jesus can fully begin building our spiritual walk. Humbleness and obedience are all that we provide. The paving stones of II Peter are then needed to build the walk of a child of God;

II Peter 1:5 – 9 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

We cannot leave out any of these spiritual steps or stones in the path, or our walkway will stop or veer out of the path that God intends. It is similar to building that brick wall; if any bricks are left out in a row, it is difficult to build the next row on top of it. We must remember that it is His walk we are trying to have, and not our own;

I John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

The Apostle John tells each of us through the Spirit that if we abide in Jesus, we ought to walk as Jesus did, the Master’s walk. He will begin to establish his walk in us if we come, and yield to Him in humbleness and in total obedience;

Matthew 11:28 – 30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

John 8:29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

Take His yoke upon you, walk in faith and obedience; you will do the things that please Him, and He will be with you. However, armed with humbleness and yieldedness, we are still not totally prepared to go. Who would plan to build a house without a foundation or the necessary building materials? Would you go to build without tools; hammer, saw, tape measure? God is our sufficiency, and He will equip and enable you to do His will in building your temple, and then you can find The Master’s Walk.
